1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Biblatec (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone else who accesses the Service.

2. Description of Service

Biblatec is a social platform for sharing book recommendations, reading lists, and reviews. Users can create profiles, post books they have read or want to read, follow other readers, and discover new titles through a community of book lovers.

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep this information up to date. You may not impersonate another person or use a username that is misleading or belongs to someone else.

4. Content Rules

You retain ownership of the content you post on Biblatec. By posting content, you grant Biblatec a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute your content as part of operating the Service.

You agree not to post content that:

• Is hateful, discriminatory, or harasses or threatens any individual or group
• Promotes or glorifies violence, self-harm, or dangerous activities
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of others
• Contains spam, misleading information, or unsolicited advertising
• Violates any applicable law or regulation

5. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination:

• Hate literature — content that promotes hatred based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
• Extremist content — material that promotes, glorifies, or supports terrorist organisations, violent extremism, or genocide
• Child sexual abuse material or any sexualised content involving minors
• Content designed to incite real-world violence against identifiable individuals or groups

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these rules and to report illegal content to the appropriate authorities.

6. Affiliate Links Disclosure

Biblatec participates in affiliate programmes, including the Amazon Associates Programme. “Buy” buttons and links to purchase books on third-party retailers may earn Biblatec a commission at no additional cost to you. This helps us keep the Service free for all users.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms of Service. You may also delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Biblatec and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
